Kaskade in San Francisco
Ryan Raddon was born and grew up in Chicago where he went to high school. He attended college in Utah at BYU and later the University of Utah. His music career kicked off when he moved to San Francisco in May 2000 and started a job at a Om Records as an audio and recording assistant. He was also DJing and producing his own music while in San Francisco, which was home to a new Deep House movement.
Ryan’s initial success producing music and DJing led to the creation of his stage name, Kaskade. His first record deal followed shortly after. Kaskade’s popularity took off as he began producing award winning dance music over the next decade. Even high profile DJs like Dirty South and Robbie Rivera started remixing his tracks. In 2006 he teamed up with deadmau5 for their first collaboration. Kaskade became one of the headline EDM artists at festivals like Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Coachella.

EDM Concert Chicago
One amazing Kaskade concert long-time fans still discuss is his Automatic Tour in 2015. The tour began in October following the Automatic album release. All ticket purchasers received a digital copy of the album.
Kaskade returned to his hometown on October 17th and performed at the iconic Navy Pier on Chicago’s waterfront. The concert lasted about 90 minutes and most songs played were from the Automatic album. Unfortunately there’s no official footage of the show from Kaskade on YouTube or a set recording on SoundCloud. But, before your leave check out this full set from Ultra Music Festival in 2014.
